They got engaged today at the Helipad dubai and it has since gone viral on instagram.

Narrating the history behind the two beautiful bands, the newly engaged soon-to-ber bride, said "The 1st little one is a gold and diamond gem.. Washington Post: Obama thinks his Syria strategy is right — and folks just don't get it

As President Obama flew home from Asia aboard Air Force One in late November, he scolded his aides about how poorly the administration was communicating the U.S.-led strategy against the Islamic State.

Throughout the nine-day trip, which had begun less than 24 hours after the terrorist attacks in Paris, they had all heard critics at home and abroad charge that he had no coherent game plan, Obama said. There had even been suggestions that France, with tough talk and a series of retaliatory airstrikes, was now leading the anti-terrorism fight.

Aides agreed that the message they had heard on the road was "jarring," said a senior administration official who was on the flight.

But while many outside the administration found the strategy itself lacking, Obama felt what they really needed was to do a better job of explaining it. He ordered what the official called an "uptick in our communications tempo."

U.S. State Department Names "Bringing Peace" To Syria As One Of Its 2015 Accomplishments. Not surprising .... their critics are "smelling blood in the water" .... Trump mocks State Department's 2015 boast of peace in Syria (CBS). As to what is my take .... I understand why President Obama does not want to commit ground forces into Syria .... this is a long war and there is no exit strategy .... so the strategy becomes one of appearing to be involved .... while you are not. In short ... containment. Unfortunately .... this is not showing leadership, and everyone in the region knows this and are now pursuing their own agenda .... resulting in the chaos and mayhem that is now occurring.

Oshiomhole Urges Edo Residents To Elect Credible Successor

The Governor of Edo State in southern Nigeria has asked residents of the state to ensure that a credible successor is elected in the coming governorship election.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole said year 2016 would present the people of the state with the opportunity to elect an individual who would build on the successes recorded by his government in the past seven years.

In his New Year message signed by his spokesman, Mr Peter Okhiriathe, Governor Oshiomhole said the government was proud of the remarkable achievements they recorded in the past seven years.

He said that the government remained thankful to the people for the trust and confidence reposed in it to conduct the affairs of the state.

The Governor also stated that he expected rumours and counter rumours in 2016, the election year, but he assured the residents that the government would remain focussed and finish strong.

Legendary R&B singer Natalie Cole dies at 65

Natalie Cole, R&B singer and daughter of legendary singer Nat King Cole, has died. She passed away yesterday Dec. 31st 2015 at hospital in LA. She was 65 years old.

According to TMZ, she died from congestive heart failure, although they also say they were told the underlying medical issues were complications from a kidney transplant and Hepatitis C. She's survived by a son. May her soul rest in peace, amen.

Luis Enrique took the opening training session of 2016 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper with the game against Barça's city rivals on the horizon

FC Barcelona march on as following Wednesday's 4-0 win over Betis, Luis Enrique's team are now busy preparing themselves for the Catalan derby against Espanyol on Saturday at 4.00pm CET at the Power8 Stadium. On Friday Luis Enrique took the side for their final session before the clash with their city rivals.

The good news was the medical all clear for defender Douglas. The Brazilian is available for the first time since being injured in the first leg of the Copa del Rey tie against Villanovense.

Barça begin a run of three games in less than two week against Espanyol on Saturday, two in the Copa del Rey and one in the league, as part of busy January of fixtures.

PresidentT Muhammadu Buhari says that a committee to rehabilitate infrastructure and resettle Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in the North-East sub-region is soon to be formally inaugurated. The committee, to be led by a frontline statesman, Lt.-Gen Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd) will also include Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, GCON.

Speaking at the State House, Abuja in response to a goodwill message delivered to him by a group, Women In Politics Forum (WIPF), President Buhari announced that all forms of assistance and aid in this respect generated locally and from foreign countries as promised by the Group of Seven of Industrialized Countries,G7 will be channeled through the committee when it is inaugurated.

He said that he had compiled a list of damaged infrastructure,including schools and bridges and handed it to the leaders of the G7 and the United States, adding that "I didn't ask for a Kobo (in cash). It is up to them to choose what they will undertake. Already, some of them have sent teams to verify our assertions." President Buhari decried the impact of the Boko Haram violence on women and children declaring that they are its worst victims.

"In the North-East, what I saw for myself and on those clips is a source of concern for people with conscience. They are mostly women, and children who are orphaned. Some of them don't even know where they come from. This is the pathetic situation in which the country has found itself." He said that the fight for the return of the Chibok girls is ongoing and "continues to be a most worrying issue" to his government, emphasizing that the administration will do all within its powers in making the best efforts to secure their freedom.

The President acknowledged the case made by the WIPF for better representation of women in his government and assured that women would fare well in the composition of parastatals and their boards in the first quarter of this year. He also defended the records of the administration in response to criticism that it is slow, arguing that steps must taken with caution to avoid mistakes.

"People say we are slow. We are trying to change structures put in place by our predecessors in office for 16 years. If we hurry it, we will make mistakes. That will be a disaster." President Buhari assured that the country has a budget proposal for the new year that is good for employment and manufacturing. "By the end of the second quarter, the full impact of these positive measures will be felt," he told the visiting women.

The WIPF, made up of women leaders from 26 registered political parties led by Barrister Ebere Ifendu of the Labour Party expressed their full support for the government's war on corruption and insecurity. They asked the administration to usher in laws to promote gender equity as well as action towards the implementation of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act. The Women's group made the record of being the first organization to be received by the President in the New Year.

Chibok Girls: BBOG Asks FG To Set Up Search And Rescue Team

The Bring Back Our Girls group is asking the Nigerian government to set up a special search and rescue team to find the missing Chibok schoolgirls.

At the daily sit-out session to mark ‘Day 627’ since the girls were taken from their school’s dormitory in Chibok, Borno State, the co-convener of the group, Aisha Yesufu said the group was disappointed that President Muhammadu Buhari did not say anything about the missing girls in his New Year message to Nigeria.

To further push their demand for the rescue of the girls abducted by members of the Boko Haram terrorist group on April 14, 2014, the group said it planned to stage a peaceful march to the Presidential Villa on Thursday, January 14, 2016, to engage the president.

This date will be exactly 21 months since the abduction of the girls.

The group is also refusing to accept the President’s statement that the Federal Government does not have credible intelligence on the whereabouts of the girls, stating that government needs to consider acquiring credible intelligence.

They believe that there was a credible report on the whereabouts of the girls, following the testimonies of the former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshall Alex Badeh, retired and Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State.

In the heat of demands from the BBOG and global outcry for the rescue of the girls, Air Marshall had told reporters that the military had a tip off about where the girls where, but that the military was being cautious to avoid civilian casualties.

Few days ago, another leader of the group, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, approached the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami, requesting that soldiers jailed for cowardice against the Boko Haram Insurgency and mutiny be reinstate.
