Bayelsa Rerun Election: Southern Ijaw Results Announced

Southern IjawThe Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reconvened to announce the result for Southern Ijaw Local Government Area as it concluded the collation of results in the Bayela State rerun election.

The result for Southern Ijaw had been the only one remaining and according to the returning officer for the local government, PDP scored a total of 23,081 votes, while APC scored 10,216.

He also reported that votes were cancelled in some polling units owing to irregularities.

According to previous results announced, in Ekeremor Local Government Area, the PDP polled a total of 2,695 votes, while the APC recorded 257 votes. In Nembe, the PDP had 1,160 votes while the APC polled 1, 400 votes.
